With the closing of The Portage Theater and our inability to find a new venue for our 3 day long festival, we created a new event we are calling "Laugh Out Loud" to take the place of the Laugh or Die Comedy Festival. We are offering this event FREE IN ADMISSION OR ANY AMOUNT YOU WISH TO DONATE. The production company Spook Show Entertainment has taken on major financial loss with the closing of the theater and would like to thank our friends at Otto's Niteclub in Dekalb for offering to host an event to help recover some of the loss and give many of the same Comedians and Films a place to play that weekend. The event is 21 and over and we will be announcing 2013 Laugh or Die Comedy Fest award winners at the Laugh Out Loud event.

VERY IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM SPOOK SHOW ENTERTAINMENT INC.
THE PORTAGE THEATER CLOSEDAs many of you have probably read (Click Here To See Article from DNAInfo.com Chicago), for reasons beyond our control or involvement, The Portage Theater has closed its doors effective Friday May 24th 2013. Spook Show Entertainment Inc. were contacted by phone to be made aware of this just after the midnight hour on Saturday May 25th. Since receiving the news, SSE Festival Producers have been put on notice and some working around the clock to find new venue for the upcoming Laugh or Die Comedy Festival as well as The Chicago Horror Film Festival & The Spook Show Con. As of 3AM May 25th, SSE Inc. does have at least one possible venue available for the Laugh or Die Comedy Festival on the same dates as the original programming schedule. This new venue is not confirmed just yet, but they hope to have confirmation by 5pm CST May 25th. At that time SSE will be making contact with all stage and screen talents involved in the festival and then making public post announcing the new venue. In regards to the 2013 Chicago Horror Film Festival & The Spook Show Con events, SSE executives have various meetings established in and around Chicago & the Northern Illinois Region on the morning of Saturday May 25th in hopes of securing a new venue for some of the largest events on SSE's annual calendar. SSE President Willy Adkins is expected to make a statement about the closing of The Portage Theater via press release sometime early this coming week. The only comment offered at this late hour was, "It is a truly sad situation that brings hurt to both myself and my company greatly. But at this time, we have to concentrate on finding new venue rather then our personal feelings". SSE has received over 300 emails since the closing of the venue, and asks that everyone be patient as they work to reply to them all. For booked talent and filmmakers, you will be contacted the moment a venue is secured. Thank you all for your understanding during this time. SSE wishes to apologize for any complications the closing of the Portage Theater might cause. But as they say, "The show must go on". ~ Spook Show Entertainment Inc.Read More

Desperate to fulfill his dad's final wish, Josh claims that his dad has already met that woman… close childhood and family friend: Molly Mahoney. When Josh sheepishly confesses his ruse in mid-flight Molly is furious, making him promise to right the wrong the moment they land. Only when they arrive - it's too late! Word has leaked out and they are swarmed at the airport by BOTH FAMILIES with well wishes and congratulatory banners. Josh convinces Molly to play fiancée by using a deadly combination her Catholic guilt and his Playboy charm. But as they plan their phony wedding… the two of them start to fall in love for real.
